This looks like a good program Bear, I thikn i'll give it a try.

It's without a doubt the best download manager out there right now (IMHO). At least I have never used anything that even comes close to this one. It works with a lot of browsers also.

Should I abandon FlashGet (JetCar way back when) for this new download manager? FG is like an old friend you hate to see die. You get used to things.

Well, try Orbit for a little while and see what you think. Long enough to get the hang of it. It is very good and uses very little resources (3mb and less than 3% of resources). Small, powerful and fast. It is actively being updated and they are responsive to suggestions. I now recommend it over FlashGet. In fact, I have replaced flashget with OD on my website. One thing about FlashGet, it handles the 99% bug better than any other download manager, until this new version of OD where they say they have mastered the issue.

I've a question for you that would interest many others, does Orbit integrate with Firefox in a similar way as does FlashGet using the plugin FlashGot? I've downloaded Orbit but haven't installed and tinkered with it yet. Which brings me to another question, will Orbit coexist peacefully with FlashGet?

Does anyone have any suggestions for a program to download flash videos? I checked and found that Orbit Downloader will not work with Win 98SE.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. TIA

If your downloading from YouTube you could try http://kissyoutube.com
All you will need is a flash player.
