Only you and yours would look at it that way. To any other objective viewer, it would clearly reveal she is trying to help put an end to all of this.

I didn't start it up again--it never stopped. Indeed, it had begun to permeate most of the threads.

I am guilty of focusing on it in a new thread. I hoped it would do some good; however, it became a new platform for more of the same.
I'm sorry. It won't happen again, I assure you!

I know have posted somewhat off topic in this thread. But sadly your thread has faded as Hummingbird and Mr Bottoms use the thread as an opportunity to retell in their own way what has occurred and to profess their innocence in any of the problems.

You can see what an uphill struggle this would be. But it is good of you to post and try to improve matters. Please don't think the way this thread has gone means you should never try again. It's just one of those things that the thread didn't work out. I hope you will try some other time when you feel the time is right and not be put off by this experience.

Maybe you're going to need a moderated thread! Smile

Unfortunately, my post really did become a springboard for more of the same stuff, so I erred in thinking it might help. I don't think there is any point in trying again. I've even been accused of perpetuating it, and since there apparently is some truth in that as evidenced by the posts, I'm outta here!

Global, you've usually made sense (even when you're using the random paragraph generator!) So it's with regret I have a slightly dfferent view than yours.

Jack D. Russell Sr, who behaves a little strangely for a human but very accurately for a Jack Russell. The Jack Russell is a working terrier for hunting animals like rats and badgers and is noticably intelligent to track, hunt and outwit their quarry. Also highly energentic and seem restless even when still. Most relevant of all to us is that they are known to be fearless and will invariably bark at their quarry.

I wonder if Jack D. Russell Sr is in so very different to our Brenda who likes to makes her frequent "...ware" posts almost at random.
Guess one can't really complain about one without complaining about the other.

Yup, your post produced the same results as earlier requests to cease and desist. OTOH most of the off-topic posts yesterday were clustered in this thread. IMHO that was a Good Thing (TM).

There were only a couple of folks who actually indicated they would agree to her request. You didn't. You Susan, in fact, have shown no interest in formulating an end to this...though you are mostly responsible for it. I wonder if it doesn't fit into your agenda?

There is no way to stop these things by protesting (even as I have done so a few times today already). It adds a bit to the noise, but perhaps even one person realizing the wisdom of your words and getting off the troll merry go round is worth putting it out there. Your post was reasonable and logical and heartfelt, but those never bother the trolls or the people caught uyp in the heat of the ridiculous battle.

Don't regret what you said or even saying it, it is incumbent upon the other's and the blame or credit is their own as to how they responded to your plea. But making sense doesn't usually help, oddly enough. Passions are stronger than brains.

What you are missing is there were only a few people who agreed to some form of negotiated end to all of this. It was who you think the detractors are...the truth hurts sometimes.

And you sir we call a Fascist:)

Rotfl. It's been very apparent in Europe for a long time that many Americans have no idea what a fascist is and simply use it as a term of abuse. This may help you:

--
Italian philosopher Giovanni Gentile defined the term 'Fascism' and described it thus: "A system of government that exercises a dictatorship of the extreme right, typically through the merging of state and business leadership, together with belligerent nationalism."
Gentile is also credited with the 1928 Encyclopedia Italiana entry that states: "Fascism should more appropriately be called 'corporatism' because it is a merger of state and corporate power."
