My "children" (6'1" and 6'2") have composed a few here for me. They said, so these are the kinds of people you've been telling us about...what an education about greed/dominance/team mentality/agendizing/egotistical dementia/ and things we now recognize about peoples behavior all over the real world. |
I see it as a heart-warming story of a happy community living in a town called ACF and how they dealt with an obnoxious pair of renegades.

Some of the community of ACF are regulars and some are just passing through. One fine day a dodgy duo ride into town. They get out their six-shooters and start firing while telling the town of ACF what's really needed there.
The dodgy duo march over to the sherifess's office and tell her that she has got too much support and favor in the town. They say that if she is sherifess then she shouldn't be doing any business in the town of ACF. She should do her business outside the town.
The mild-mannered citizens of ACF are uneasy with this dodgy duo. One of them talks as if he wants to run the town. "For the good of everyone in ACF of course", he has been saying. They don't like it and the gentle folk start to ask questions of the dodgy duo. The sherifess refuses to hang up her badge.
When pressed on exactly what they are going to do with the towns beloved Pricelessware, the dodgy duo go wild. They shoot up the town. "It's war" they say. "Har har har. We got plenty more ammo where this lot came from. We can shoot for ever."
But undaunted, the citizens make the dodgy duo stop their personal attacks on selected victims and tell the dodgy duo to cool it. With the sherifess refusing to grant the dodgy duo an inch of ground, they are eventually unable to frighten the town or gain control of it. And they cannot prevent citizens taking part if they want to in helping with Pricelessware.
So the duo went silent for a bit. Then they started to grumble and mumble but everyone had seen their best efforts and saw how easily the dodgy duo can be put in their rightful place. So the current growls and scowls and howls of the dodgy duo no longer scare even the mildest of the ACF regulars or any of the Pricelessware contributors.
To this day the dodgy duo still make their claims and threaten revenge. However everyone just laugh at the dodgy duo's false arguments and just go about their business unworried.

So, Mr Bottoms, tell your boys they can learn about working together against a common threat just by looking at the happy functioning of ACF to see what a content life can be had. |
