There are some tray symbols which are generally unless for me and which can not be disabled. I am looking for some freeware which allows me to store settings about tray symbols which shall not be shown anymore.

Right click on the system tray, click on 'Properties', 'Taskbar' tab, 'Customize' (XP).

I find that this does not work very well, as the hidden icons often re-appear. As I mentioned in another post, the better answer is either:
Tray Wizard http://forum.dobreprogramy.pl/viewtopic.php?t=97815 and/or Tray Pilot Lite

Take a look at these:

Doesnt`t really matter what windows version I am using. Does it? However, it`s xp.

I know the function from windows xp to auto hide inactive tray symbols. But I don`t like it.

There are some tray icons I want to hide for a long time. I know that the program is running in background but there is nothing to change so the icon just waste space. For example it`s the lan connection icon I can not disable or my dial in software and filterproxyy (bfilter) and few more... All those programs doesn`t support native to hide the tray icon. You will excuse that I am explicit asking for such a software.
I found already such programs as shareware, but not freeware. That`s why I am asking here. Smile
