Let me get this straight: It's your opinion that 1) how HTML is coded is more important than how it looks/works. 2) Anyone who doesn't know and care about HTML coding is beneath your notice.
Oddly enough, you forgot to mention that Hitler and the other Nazi leaders were notoriously ignorant about HTML. |

Because they're the same kind of fools who don't realize that military tradition is _much_ more important than winning battles.
They're under the delusion that web pages are designed for people to look at and use.

It validates strict...I'm not an HTML genius, but I do now hand code my pages in PSPad entirely. Happy was the day I could move away from WYSIWYG editors. Kinda like the stages I went through with typing...from typing letters, to typing words, to typing thoughts is a big spread.

Issues, you mean like they are BearCrapWare? |
Let's just say that, unlike Pricelessware, some of the offerings aren't exactly "The best of the best in Freeware."
Bearware reminds me of the Forrest Gump line about a box of chocolates: You never know what you're gonna get! |

Oh for goodness sake! You are probably right - I don't know anything about HTML coding. Reality is that his web site works fine for me, and I personally couldn't care less how it's coded. If it works right and looks good, who cares? At least he's made the effort, and that's more than many have, including me (grin). |
Yep. I agree. I haven't got much time for the bottom guy, but the site is straight forward, simple and works. I would've thought that was the objective, and it succeeded. |
OK. I don't want you to have much time for me my friend. I was asking BB a genuine question (or at least I thought it was) so sorry if I have offended you or anyone else on this thread!
The reason I ask is that I'm considering putting my own website together and I liked the simplicity/quick loading of BB site. I have no real knowledge of HTML and wondered what web editor (if any) he used to construct his site. He may have been able to help me with a recommendation?

Pricelessware can't make that claim either - there's some crap in there too. |
If you mean the Pricelessware list, you'll need to back that up with examples. If you mean the thousands of programs that are in the larger pricelesswarehome.org program index simply because they've been "mentioned" in ACF at one time or another, that's a different story, but unlike Bearware, if something is crap, it's probably marked as what it is (nagware, crippleware, adware, etc.)
Again, I stand behind what I said above about the Bearware site missing the mark WRT the vetting of the freeware selections. When it comes to content, what Bearware has to offer (a set of links to author websites) is not much more useful than a random Google search. |

It's a pissing contest *YOU* chose to start when you made a claim you can't back up. For that reason, I agree it would be pointless for you to continue.
