Dale (May 06, 2007): do-Organizer has definately re-shaped my life! Wow! I've never purchased an application that completely meets my needs in information management as well as this one! I've downloaded many and always found disappointment - but this one - has managed to keep my interest alive. ALIVE because do-Organizer is a classy data manager. ALIVE because do-Organizer is a project in development and the updates are consistant and reliable. ALIVE also, because the GemX team provides an excellant and reliable service. The truth is, they continually excel in service. I've rarely seen such committed people behind software development. I appreciate their loyalty. do-Organizer consolidates all my information in ONE place. That makes room for efficient data management. There are many useful features such as LINKING records together between sections. That really sets the pace. The resources section is powerful enough to control your database structure and hide information when necessary - allowing access to other users according to any pre-defined structure. Wow! Impressive! do-Organizer has so much to offer - I'm hooked. The keen focus on data management helped me to "gain control" of my informational needs. They understand the needs of the users. Ofcourse, you can see that on their forum. They always listen and are ready to accomodate the user's needs when possible. Now that's the kind of stuff you don't see everywhere. If you want, you can even obtain the application for free (see website). Finally, I've got a product that will satisfy for many years to come... I appreciate this so much.
Sally Simbis (Apr 20, 2007): This could be a nice product, pretty complete, visually appealing, and not too expensive, if, yes if there were not those quite obvious bugs.
And then one gets to know the really really horrible service, customer abusing included.
I tried the evaluation version which, as they say, is the same as the licensed version.
There is quite a number of very obvious bugs in the program which could have been eliminated during beta phase easily. This is simply negligent programming.
Once you tell them it won't be long until they insult you and start wasting your time and try letting the customer do their work.
There is a difference between a customer and a member of a programming club. Once they realize that difference, treat and respect customers as customers, and start to work on the program it may become a 1st class product one day.
