freddyzdead (Jun 24, 2008): Sure, SUPER supports a lot of formats and kind of works, but I can't understand the rave reviews some ppl give it. The UI is super-annoying, options are obscure, some needed ones are absent, no meaningful progress bar, no preview, the list goes on and on. The support forum is useless, no search ability, so you don't know if your question has already been asked. Did I mention SUPER is s-l-o-w? And it takes 99% of CPU so you can't do anything else while it's running. Apart from all that, it's not too bad. Sometimes it's the only thing that will do the job. But usually when SUPER is finished I have to encode the avi again with virtualdub to fix the things that SUPER didn't do right.
manu (Apr 20, 2008): muy rapido y bueno
Jules Sans Scrupules (Feb 11, 2008): They could just use bittorrent for the downloads, you know?
SUPERstupid is what erightsoft people are.
The software isn't great either. User interface is obviously designed by the same psycho anti-social nutcase that created the website and dreadfully messy webforum. Unreadable inverted terribly small fonts, weird hidden but needed option buttons etc. The works.
Oh and e'right'soft:
The fact that it is free does in no way merit such disastrous nonsense. It's just VERY BAD and stupid to do it like this. Period.
ugom (Nov 06, 2007): what to say, just try this stuff, never regret
ron (Nov 05, 2007): good utility
alrashed_hay (Sep 23, 2007): very good
(Sep 06, 2007): Wow. Just wow. An encoder that supports just about all major audio, video, and even picture inputs, and converts them to many major formats with good quality, all in a simple gui, simple user interface, and several advanced options like selecting no audio, or no video after the conversion, or setting it's resolution or audio bitrate, it's all there. And if you don't want to mess with all that bitrate, resolution, etc junk, most of it's preconfigured for you anyway with preferable settings. Encoding will take a while depending on the machine you have, and how big the file(s) is/are, but this's to be expected with any encoding. What, you can encode multiple files too?
And this is all for free? GET THIS, you won't regret it, and MAKE SURE to donate for such a wonderful program.
yeryr (Jul 24, 2007): yreryrey
bdforever (Jan 22, 2007): Well, except for the crashes on low-power machines, the program is great.
But I wonder what cranky guy is operating that website. Downloads there don't work unless you follow a lengty procedure fiddline around with your IE. Strange Webite from a strange guy
